What is the name of your team and why did you choose it?

We are Team Supernova as we believe we will shine at the SC18 competition!
Why do you think your team will have an edge in the event (what's your secret sauce)?

There are around 20 undergraduate students in our HPC club. We organize weekly training and select top students among club members. We are experienced in HPC and have great interest in various field including both CPU and GPU accelerated computing, distributed training and even kernel tuning.
What have you done to prepare that makes your team unique?

We are encouraged to research the applications from various sources. We learn from the web, from domain experts, from books, from research papers, and from code. We believe this would give us a unique and comprehensive understanding of the applications.
What are you most looking forward to in the competition?

We are looking forward to making friends with other teams and HPC professionals attending the conference, SC is a great opportunity for networking.
What do your team members do for fun?

We enjoy hanging out and trying different great food.
Can you share an interesting fact about your team?

We love watching Youtube cute cat videos. Sometimes we display cats videos using the monitor which is supposed to be used to display the real time power usage.
