Student Cluster Competition

• What is the name of your team and why did you choose it?
  
  Peking University Supercomputing Team. The name describes where we’re from and what we’re doing well, and is easy to understand for someone that’s not familiar with HPC as well.
  
  
• Why do you think your team will have an edge in the event (what's your secret sauce)?
  
  We have excellent advisors, solid vendor support and active team members from all different backgrounds.
  
  
• What have you done to prepare that makes your team unique?
  
  Some (secret) recreation at the competition site!
  
  
• What are you most looking forward to in the competition?
  
  Stay social, enjoy the conference, experience the cutting-edge technologies from HPC, and hopefully get great scores in the competition.
  
  
• How long will it take you to get to Denver?
  
  About 14 hours by plane.
  
  
• What do your team members do for fun?
  
  Course projects, movies, cartoons, Japanese anime, TV dramas, literature, video games, debating on interesting topics.
  
  
• If your team had a theme song, what would it be?
  
  Symphony No. 9 in E minor, Op. 95, "From the New World": II. Largo, by Antonín Dvořák.
  
  
• Can you share an interesting fact about your team?
  
  We have a shared storage filled with classical music! The team leader picks a piece and plays at the meeting room before each of our meetings.
